movie gift card

"Everything is better if you can share it with a friend."

I made this to give to a friend. I thought I would add a gift certificate for 2 to the movie theater.

biker dog

I made this card for a guy at work who loves to ride 4 wheelers. I didn't have a 4-wheeler digi, so this will have to do.
I can't remember where I got it. This was before I started keeping track.
I used a sketch at Sketch n Stash:

Hamster Heart

This is Hamster Heart this week's freebie at The Hambo Hoedown...don't you just love that title? LOL
When my son was about 3, we had a hamster. My son named him, "Frankie to the hamster". Unusual name but that's what he called him. LOL We loved that little thing. Except our dog, all he could think about was eating it. The way I colored the hamster, I think he might look more like a guinea pig...we had one of those too!
The Challenge this week is to use decorative scissors. Gads! I always hated those things! I could never get them lined up correctly. Anyway, I dug around and found a pair. I trimmed the top of the cupcake paper. I paper-pieced the hamsters shirt and popped-up the little heart in the center. I added some ribbon and a little glitter on the small cupcake cut-out that came with the image.

Send in the Clowns

This is this week's free image at The Hambo Hoedown called "Clowns". It came with several sentiments to choose from. I love clowns. They remind me of when I was a kid. I am going to use this card at work for someone's birthday. Not sure who yet. Every month I make cards for those in my Dept. that are having birthdays. I get everyone to sign it and then we have cake that day too. Some people get real creeped-out about clowns. I will have to make sure that this person isn't one of those people!
The Challenge at The Hambo Hoedown is to use 3 different patterned papers. I printed the image on white cardstock and then colored it with Copics. Then I printed it out again and paper-pieced the outside edge and the small balloon.
I punched out a few bigger balloons, added some bows and then popped everything up with some foam tabs.

Dr. Needle

I had to make a birthday card for another friend at work. I work in a factory and we make syringes, so I just love this digi (and sentiments) by Hambo Stamps! Anyway, this Co-worker is a Former Operator and runs a machine that forms the glass syringes. A tricky job..I know... I've tried it!
I colored the digi with Copics and used some Clear Craft Lacquer on the syringe to make it look like glass. The Challenge @ The Hambo Hoedown this week, is to use office supplies on your project. I used my stapler around the corners and added a paper clip.
Thanks for stopping and have a great week!

...here kitty kitty

A friend of mine from work, is having a birthday soon. She LOVES cats. I am not a cat lover, so I didn't have any digi's that included a cat. I have been participating in the Sketch Challenges at i {heart} sketches & each time you enter your card in their Challenge, you receive a $1 voucher to use at the Store. I purchased this digi Kitten Flower Pot this morning from the Store using a few vouchers I had saved. I think it is a perfect image for her card and I think she will love it!

Skipper's Pad & matching paper

I am so excited! I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Imagine That! Challenge Blog I got to use "Skipper's Pad" (colored) & Frog in My Pocket, matching digi Paper! Using a colored digi was wonderful! It sure made this project come together fast!
I had never used digi paper packs & now I am hooked! I printed out a smaller version of "Skipper's Pad" & cut out the little frog & made a little charm for my gift bag.
I used 4 different papers from the digi pack. (I sometimes have a heck of a time finding papers in my stash that go together.)
Here's the inside of my card.

Bubbly Birthday

Can you think of a better way to spend part of your birthday? Every once in a while I love to pamper myself with a little ME time. A bubble bath, manicure & pedicure and then curl up on the couch in my favorite sweats...aww...doesn't get better than that!
For my card I used "Ruby Bubble Trouble" by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. Colored it with Copics & used a SU! sentiment, "It's your day!".

Speeding by

This is the latest FREE image from Imagine That! Progressive Challenge. It's fun to color & perfect for a boy's birthday, which is sometimes hard to do. If you are like me, most of my stamps are girly. If you started from the beginning, this digi stamp set was emailed to you for free. But...the Challenge owner has changed the rules this month & anyone can jump in for free!
Also...I changed my Blog background yesterday & I can't figure out how to get my blog title "feeling_scrappy" to show up in the "header" box at the top of my blog page. Got any suggestions?

Think Spring

It is snowing outside! Will winter ever end?
I have the day off, so I guess I will catch up on things inside. And, of course, that includes a little craft time :)
I needed to make a card for a coworker. It needed to be big enough for all the signatures of her friends at work, so I made this card 6x6.

I colored the Bugaboo image (Kidz girl- roses) with Copics. I then colored another bouquet & bow, cut them out & popped them up with some SU! Dimmensionals. I then added a crocheted circle & sentiment.

Cupcake Lineup

I received this cute cupcake image from Delightful Inspiration for free! All I had to do is make a project with "Cupcake Lineup" & enter it on their blog. I also used the new sketch @ "I [heart] card sketches".

For my card I used some paper that I had stashed away. I colored the image with Copics & popped-up the frosting with some SU Dimensionals to give it....well...dimension. LOL The sentiment came with the cupcake image. Cute huh? Thanks for stopping!

Birthday in a Box

Beautiful weather here in CO! My Mom, sister & I had a garage sale this weekend. I met a lot of interesting people & managed to sell a few things. We had a few problems with people stealing. Can you imagine...stealing at a garage sale! I was so surprised that people would do that. I was raised here but I have been living in Nebraska for the last 34 yrs. There, you could get away with a "on your honor" garage sale, where they total up their items & leave the money in a jar on their way out. Really... I think you could! Not here though. But, a good share of the people were friendly & honest.
I have been getting my sister into my hobby of paper crafting. We have been having a great time making all kinds of stuff.
Here is a "Birthday in a Box", complete with a tag, candle & a cupcake. I used the digi "Cupcake & Roses" by Designed 2 Delight. If you would like to make your own, you can download the pdf. HERE for free. This "Round Top Box" comes together very easy & makes a great birthday gift!
Have a great weekend & thanks for stopping!
