Pinwheel Fairy

I have been admiring a Pinwheel Die, that some people are using to decorate their cards. So cute! Well, I surfed around the net & found a free template! click HERE  I used the 50% template & then re-sized it another 50%.  This image is called Flutterby Fairy by Designed2Delight. She was holding a butterfly wand & I replaced it with a pinwheel.

Designed2Delight - Mother's Day Weekend BLOG HOP!

Hi! and Welcome to Designed2Delight's
Mother's Day Weekend HOP!

If you came here from Designed2Delight, then you're on the right track! If not...
Be sure to start this Hop @ Designed2Delight! You will need to read all the rules & details! Click HERE to go there.

For my project I used the "Lucky Bird" digital stamp. I trimmed off the legs & printed it off twice (Mom & baby bird). Faith has quite a few bird digis in her shop, that could be used for a project like this. I used my Big Shot & Mini Milk Carton Die (SU!) to make the birdhouse. If you don't have either one of these toys in your craft corner, not to worry! There is a site called  "Mirkwood Designs" that has a free Milk Carton template for you to use. I used a 1-1/4" circle punch in the front of my carton. Inside is some shredded paper & a couple of candy eggs.

Here's a few more details:
birdhouse- Mini Milk Carton
leaves- 2 Step Bird punch (SU!)
Copics
ribbon- Robert Stanley Collection
Roof:
cardstock- 3-3/4" x 2-1/2"
shingles- 3/4" circle punch
1/2" Library Clip (SU!) (holding roof on carton)

I hope I have inspired you to make your own Birdhouse! Be sure to leave me a comment here on this post! I will be giving away, the digital stamp "Spreading Sweetness" by Designed2Delight, to one lucky commenter! You have until midnight May 8th (Central Time) to enter. Check back @ Designed2Delight on Monday, for a full list of winners!
Your next stop is Debbie S.! Click HERE to go there. If you get lost along the way, go back to Designed2Delight for the Hop List.
Thanks for stoppin' & keep Hoppin' !   *Bridget :-)

ABC- 123 Challenge @ "Card Ideas"

Here's a FUN challenge from "Card Ideas"! ABC (anything but a card), 123 (1 ribbon, 2 different patterned papers, 3 buttons) I just love this image "Drew's Cupcake" by Designed2Delight. Isn't he the cutest? I decided to make a Round Top Box. You can get the template HERE. Since my least favorite place to be is the kitchen, I bought a Little Debbie cupcake. It fit perfectly in this box! I added a candle & a tag.

Diamonds, chocolate & Red.

Diamonds, chocolate & the color red... just a few of my favorite things! Baby Bud Designs is sponsoring a challenge @ "Oh Alice!". The challenge is to make your project, using mostly red or mostly white. Using mostly red, I made a Coffee Cup. You can find the instructions on how to make your own mug here. I used one of Baby Bud Designs newest images...Molly...again...I know, I must have a little OCD but I just love using her. I colored her with Riding Hood Red, Blush Blossom & Creamy Caramel SU! markers. I added a little Really Rust, to give her a bit of a red head look. I made a couple of bows for her shoestrings with black floss. The hearts were made with the Heart To Heart punch, embellished with little diamonds. Inside the cello bag is some homemade Hot Chocolate mix & then topped with a little Gosgrain Ribbon & a heart trinket. I think this will be a perfect Valentine's gift for one of my friends. Thanks for stopping! Later!

Apron Card

I found the most wonderful blog! Sassy & Sweet - notes on paper crafts, photography & life on the farm...
Lots of wonderful stuff there, including a template to make this cute Apron Card. I used the new Springtime Vintage Designer paper from SU!, 2-Step Bird Punch for the leaves, added some Pretty In Pink ribbon, flowers & some pearls. This card pattern has so many possibilities!

Winter Fun!

This week's freebie @ Delightful Inspiration is this cute Bear sliding in the snow. I colored him with my markers & added lots of glitter. I used the Top Note Die & ran it through my Big Shot in Night of Navy cardstock. Then, I did the same with a piece of patterned paper. I can't remember where I saw someone do it but I took the patterned paper Top Note, turned it & ran it through the Big Shot again. This makes a little different version & it fits perfectly inside a regular Top Note piece. FYI: I found a web site that has lots of templates that you can print off & use. Check it out. Click here>>Mirkwood Designs Hope you had a nice weekend! B.
