Celebrate

It was suppose to snow today. Instead, it rained...A great day to have off and play in my Craft Closet! I love making things for Christmas. That's when I can get out all my glittery stuff that I don't use much during the year.
I used the digi Mother Mary by Delicious Doodles and colored it with Copics.
Rich Razzleberry & Marina Mist cardstock, "Celebrate" stamp, flower colored with Rich Razzleberry marker and silver brads by SU!
Doily- Italian Flourish by Cheery Lynn Designs
Ribbon and silver wire-edged ribbon and a sprig of snowed-sprayed greenery- that I just got from Hobby Lobby
Stickles and Liquid Pearls
Sketch- Sketch N Stash #125 (also, tell what is your new and neglected stash)
This will be one of the cards that my Mom will be sending to friends and family. I cut out all the pieces and then she puts them together!

Amazing Love

I won this image & sentiment from Crafting With Deedee's Digis. Beautiful isn't it? It's called "Amazing Love." I wanted to do some stitching on my card... Everybody does it but me. :(  But I managed to control myself. I was pretty sure it would be a disaster! Instead, I used my paper piercer & a white gel pen. I think it worked! Stitching just makes it look more finished, don't you think? I used some gold Puff Paint in the center of the flowers & some Crystal Effects on the Cross.

My true meaning of Christmas

Here is a free digital image I got @ "Crafting With Deedee's Digis". Her challenge this week is to make something that tells what Christmas means to you. When I was a kid, it was ALL about Santa Claus! To me, he was this fat, lovable man, who loved me NO MATTER what I did. I would be mean to my sister & maybe even tell a lie or 2. Of course, I always felt bad & always said I was sorry for what I did (Mom made sure of that). And what'a you know, I would wake to find a present from Santa every year, on Christmas morning! I guessed, he knew I was good, deep down & so he loved me anyway. Now that I am old :) , I realized that Jesus is my Santa. I still can't wait for Christmas to come every year, I know that he still loves me no matter what & just like I did with Santa when I was little, I sometimes lay in bed with my eyes closed & wish I could see him...JUST ONCE!
May the peace of God be with you this Christmas & always. b.
