Love Ya Cupcake

Designed2Delight featured card!
Make sure that you check out my older posts. Wouldn't want you to miss anything. I'm on a roll today! :) This is the new freebie, "Love Ya Cupcake" @ Designed2Delight. I shrunk the image down & printed off 5 cupcakes. I colored them with pencils & SU! markers, cut them out & cut the tops (the frosting part) off. I put a little glue & glitter in the frosting & reattached them to each cupcake with a dimensional. I Die cut 2 Top Notes, distressed them, wrapped a little ribbon around, added a little jewelry & snipped the ribbon ends with scissors. I put a little glitter on the flowers too. The sentiment is from SU!'s Birthday Bakery. If you're wondering where I get all the fabulous jewelry, let me tell you. If you go to Goodwill, Salvation Army, DAV, under their front counter, they have big gallon bags of jewelry. I usually pay about $10 for a bag. (I have done this here in NE & also in Denver.) They try to sell the pieces individually but when they get too much on hand, they bag it up. It's like Christmas going through a bag! I suggest you have a jar of jewelry cleaner by your side when you do this. ICK! I have an allergy to nickle, so I can't wear any of it. But it looks great on my cards & makes pretty cheap embellies! Thanks for stopping. And thanks to all of you who have left such nice comments. I'm also entering this @

  2. Oh Yum! :)
Great sentiment - really made me smile. :) The whole card looks delicious, and if it was scratch and sniff it would be perfect! lol

The ribbon and jewellery look fab! I also like to de-construct old or junk jewellery. Asda (wallmart I think in the US) have some great bargain bins and it only takes 5 minutes to pull them all to bits! A great way to recycle ;)
