Easter Frame

When I got home from work this morning, I checked my email & found my new freebie from Imagine That! Progressive Challenge! Isn't it lovely?
I know...the colors I used on my card aren't your usual Easter colors but sometimes you just gotta be different, right? I think I kinda like it  :)
First off, I distressed the edges of the 2 squares & then popped the Easter digi image ( that I fussy-cut) with dimensionals, although you really can't tell by looking at the picture. I printed an extra image off, colored & cut out the lilies, added some glitter, then popped them up with dimensionals. Lastly, I added some purple string yarn & there you go...

Thanks for stoppin'  :)

Tulips!

There's an Easter Blog Hop going on over @ Do You Stack Up? Lots of great prizes. You don't want to miss it! Also, the theme @ C.R.A.F.T. Challenge is flowers. Here's my card for both challenges. I decided to dig out my punches & make some tulips, to go with the tulips in the digi stamp. I used the wing from SU!'s 2-Step Bird punch to make them. I punched three wings for each flower, 1 for each leaf  & a branch from this punch makes the flower stem! The grass at the bottom was just cut with scissors. The top border is SU!'s Eyelet Border punch. Basic Grey paper & colored with Copics. This sweet digi was a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps
Thanks for stopping! Have a Blessed Easter Weekend!     b.

Happy Easter!

It snowed again here this morning! :(  I guess I really should be thankful that, that is all it did. My prayers go out to all those who were affected by those horrid storms the other day. Last I heard, there were 45 who lost their lives.
For my Easter card, I used the Scallop Square Die by SU! (in yellow) for the base. I attached the blue card, which is 3-3/4" x 7-1/2" & scored in half. I added a piece of patterned paper 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" & some ribbon. I mounted the digi Spring Greetings by Designed2Delight, on a piece of yellow cardstock. The sentiment is SU!'s Well Scripted & punched with Scallop Oval & Large Oval SU! punches.

A Good Egg!

My husband had a saying for everything! In fact, I have a little notebook full of things he used to say all the time. Just when I think I have written them all down, I remember another. Since our Grandchildren are so young, they may not remember him when they get older. I hope this little book gives them a connection to their wise "Grandpa Mow."
Whenever he spoke about someone that he thought highly of, he would call them "a good egg." Today, this is my good egg. This digi & sentiment, "Eggstra Pretty" was a freebie from Crafting With Deedee's Digis, that I received just for participating in their weekly challenge. Isn't is perfect! So simple & beautiful.
To make my card, I used inspiration from Darsie, one of their talented DT's.
paper- SU! Paisley Petals
leaves- Sizzlits "little leaves"
brad- "Antique Brads" SU!
Crystal Effects, jewelry piece from my stash, Scallop Edge punch, Prima flowers (sponged with ink pads), SU! markers & embossing folder.

Amazing Love

I won this image & sentiment from Crafting With Deedee's Digis. Beautiful isn't it? It's called "Amazing Love." I wanted to do some stitching on my card... Everybody does it but me. :(  But I managed to control myself. I was pretty sure it would be a disaster! Instead, I used my paper piercer & a white gel pen. I think it worked! Stitching just makes it look more finished, don't you think? I used some gold Puff Paint in the center of the flowers & some Crystal Effects on the Cross.

Happy Monday Challenge- Pastels

The challenge @ Happy Monday Challenge is Pastels! I hope my project qualifies, there is an awful lot brown in there. :( I made this Altered Coaster Easter Basket for my granddaughter. I used "Chicks Rule" digi & sentiments, by Deedee's Digis. If you would like to make your own Easter basket, I found the instructions @ craftbits.com. Click HERE
--I put the chick digi & a sentiment, on 2 sides of my basket.
paper & matching stickers- The Paper Studio
digi- "Chicks Rule" - Deedee's Digis
SU! markers
2 buttons
brown ribbon
2 pink brads
5 coasters
brown Paper Shred
The only thing I did different, is I used some thin cardboard, on my handle, instead of cardstock. And then covered it with coordinating paper & a few stickers.
