lump of coal

I made a little something for all the guys I work with. I found some chocolates that are wrapped in black foil to look like coal. I used an old SU! stamp I had, colored it with Copics, used some stickles and some clear lacquer on Rudolf's nose.

I used SU's Top Note Die, some small clear bags and a little ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Pretty easy and fast! I think they will enjoy them :)
I would like to enter the following Challenges:
Crafty Ribbons- Anything Goes
Sassy Studio- It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge- Your favorite film/Inspired by a movie/TV/song. (Mine would be, this time of year, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.)

Celebrate

It was suppose to snow today. Instead, it rained...A great day to have off and play in my Craft Closet! I love making things for Christmas. That's when I can get out all my glittery stuff that I don't use much during the year.
I used the digi Mother Mary by Delicious Doodles and colored it with Copics.
Rich Razzleberry & Marina Mist cardstock, "Celebrate" stamp, flower colored with Rich Razzleberry marker and silver brads by SU!
Doily- Italian Flourish by Cheery Lynn Designs
Ribbon and silver wire-edged ribbon and a sprig of snowed-sprayed greenery- that I just got from Hobby Lobby
Stickles and Liquid Pearls
Sketch- Sketch N Stash #125 (also, tell what is your new and neglected stash)
This will be one of the cards that my Mom will be sending to friends and family. I cut out all the pieces and then she puts them together!

Magic Reindeer Food

Magic Reindeer Food has been around for several years. For some reason I was never interested in making any until I saw this post @ Make it From Scratch. Read the Warning at the end of her blog post HERE. How cute!
I printed off labels from razzel dazzle recipes HERE but you can find lots of different printable labels out there if you Search : Magic Reindeer Food labels on the Internet.
I used SU! paper bags, but you can use clear Baggies, lunch sacks or...I even have seen where people have used those large "test tubes" that you can get at most Craft Stores.
I added some twine ( that my sister had thrown away the other day & I dug out of the trash. :)
And a jingle bell. What a neat idea! I wish I had done this sooner. I think my Grandkids will love it!
Thanks for stopping!

Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! I thought that was the perfect sentiment, since it appears that Santa is headed to bed after a long night of flying around the world delivering presents. Thanks Anni. Now I am all caught up with my scrapbooking. Whew!
For instructions on how to punch this Santa, go to THIS post. Have a great day!

snowman bag

(Top 3 Winner!)
The challenge @ Stampin' Celebration this week, is to use red, brown & white to make your project. I LOVE those colors. I took a SU! scalloped paper bag, ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock through my Big Shot with the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder & tied a piece of Dark Brown & white ribbon around it. I used the "More The Merrier" stamp set on white cardstock & mounted it on a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter & used my SU! markers. Inside the bag is a couple of chocolate mint candy canes & some Chex Cereal Mix that I made.
8 cups Chex cereal
1 cup cashews
1 bag Holiday M&M's
1 pkg vanilla almond bark melted
Mix well to coat. Spread out on waxed paper to cool. Break into bite size chunks. Store in air-tight container.

Santa card

This is a card I made for the Sketch Challenge @ The Pixie Cottage. I can't remember where I got the Santa Digital Image, it was a freebie I picked up somewhere. Great artist whoever it is! I colored Santa with my SU! markers, punched the holly leaves, added a "fork bow", a brad, 3 berries in the corner & some glitter. It was lots of fun. I usually don't use that many layers.

Christmas Tea Bag "Matchbook" Holder

I went on Designed2Delights Blog Hop yesterday. Soo many great little gift ideas! I made these tea holders today, for my Mom to give to her friends at Bridge. They are super fast & easy to make. I got the idea from Katie at "Both Sides Of The Paper".

Cut a piece of cardstock @ 6-3/4" x 2-3/4"
Score it @ 2-3/4" & 6", fold
Cut a piece of designer paper @ 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Now, go to CARDZ TV & watch how to put it all together.
Mary makes a larger holder to hold a Hot Chocolate Mix pack.
My dimensions will make a smaller one, to fit a bag of tea.
So that the bag can be easily removed without taking things apart,
I simply attached the tea bag with a small glue dot on the back of the package.
Thanks for stopping! Hope you had a relaxing Thanksgiving.

Christmas Cocoa Carrier

This is the last free digital stamp from Designed2Delight for November. It's called "Christmas Cocoa". The sentiment is from their "Love A Latte" stamp set. Go HERE & check out all the other cards & projects made with this cute mug.
Here is an altered Frappuccino carton & bottles.
I colored the stamp with my SU! markers in Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler & white.
I covered the carton with SU! JOLLY HOLIDAY Designer paper. I punched a scallop border in Old Olive around the top edge. I used my BIG SHOT & cut out 4 SCALLOP CIRCLES from the #2 Die, then hand punched a SCALLOP CIRCLE in the middle to look like a wreaths & glued them on all 4 corners on the box. I punched little scallop circles from the ITTY BITTY punch pack to make the berries. The bottle caps are layered with a colored Holly Berry stamp, punched out with a 1" CIRCLE punch. Then, a 1-1/4" CIRCLE punched in red. Last, a SCALLOP CIRCLE hand punched in JOLLY HOLLY paper. I used the DESIGNER LABEL punch for the labels & added the Holly Berry stamp to them. I Added a little ribbon around each bottle & to the handle of the box &(whew!) I was done. There are 2 with homemade hot chocolate in them, 1 has chocolate mint candy canes & 1 with marshmallows.

Christmas Planner

You can never be too prepared for Christmas. So, here's a little project to help you get organized.

--Cut a piece of cardstock 8 x 5-1/2".
--Score @ 2-5/8" & 2-7/8"
--Cut 2 pieces of designer paper: 2-1/2 x 5" & 2-1/2 x 3" & glue to front side of cardstock.
--Cut a piece of coordinating designer paper: 2-1/2" x 3/4" & glue on top of seam between
the 2 long pieces of designer paper.
--Decorate top (the 2-1/2 x 3" piece)
I punched a wreath: 2-3/8" scallop circle, a regular scallop circle.
Then, I punched a 3/4" circle in the middle of each. I glued them together & punched
2 small holes in bottom of wreath. I strung a piece of ribbon through the holes & tied a knot.
I used a paper piercer & made 9 holes for red brads. The brads look like the berries.
--On the bottom half I printed off the words "Christmas Planner" from my PrintShop
Program & punched the words out with a "Round Tab" punch. Then, I punched another
one in another color & glued them together so, that you can see just a little of
the back one.
--Then, I took the circles that were punched out of the wreath, stamped a snowflake on them & glued them at the bottom.
--I had our Office Supply Store cut some Jr. Legal Pads of paper (they do it for free)
@ 2-1/2 x 8 ".
--Cover the top of the pad (the part with the advertisement on it) with designer paper. --Glue or use double stick tape, one of these pads to the inside.
--THEN...I bought pens that are see-through. Pull out ink cartridge, wrap a narrow piece of
designer paper around ink cartridge & insert back into pen. Now you have a matching pen!
How cool is that?
I made myself one & a couple more for gifts. I put them in cellophane bags & tied a ribbon
around it.
-----I have to thank Debbie @ "The Paper Garden" for this idea.
