The challenge @ Card-Ideas is to make a traditional Valentine card. I used "Spring Kaela" from Designed2Delight. In the background is a piece of old-fashioned valentine paper. When I was little & going to school, I loved making my Valentine box. It was always an old shoebox from home. We used dollies, construction paper & LOTS of glue. I remember the glue was in a round container with a brush attached to the inside of the lid. You painted the glue on. It had an odd smell to it & was flaky when it dried. Wouldn't it be fun to be a kid now? My shoebox would be a paint can, with lots of buttons, bows & bling!

Red Hot

Here is another card for the challenge Red Hot! @ "do you stack up?" This is called a Shadow Box Card. You can find the instructions on how to make one HERE. As you can probably tell, I really like this digi. It was a freebie @ Crafting With Deedee's Digis. His poor little heart is melting! It kinda looks gross though... the way I colored it... looks like it's bleeding. :-[
Oh well, it's was lots of fun to make.

Who me???

I almost forgot to enter my card @ Delightful Inspiration. It's a progressive challenge. If you enter a project with the current weeks image, the next week you get the new digital image in you email. Cool huh? The digital stamp is called, "Big Heart". I am also entering this @ Do you stack up? The theme this week is RED HOT.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #44

Peachy Keen's Sketch Challenge with a Twist:
I followed the SKETCH but not sure about the TWIST! Most of the color is "Monochromatic!" :)
I enjoyed doing the "melted snowman" in another challenge so, I did it here again with a Peachy Keen stamp, that I received free with an order.
SU! markers, My Mind's Eye paper, & the following punches: 2-1/2" circle, Heart, scallop oval, large oval, word window, & Top Note Die.

more than chocolate

It's a sketch challenge @ Crafting With Deedee's Digis. Since I played along last week, I received this new digi from them, in my email. Su...weet! This is the 3rd card that I've made with this image & sentiment. I love the sketch. Takes all the frustration out of it. I used my SU! markers, ribbon, some glitter (on the candy), pink diamonds, & the following punches; scallop border, Heart to Heart, 2-Step Bird (leaves), Boho Blossoms, scallop oval & wide oval. The brown background paper, I ran through a Crimper, to give it the same texture as the candy cups...or what ever you call 'em. :) I also, cut & colored an extra set of the hearts (that are in the middle of the bonbons) then used pop-up dots to give them a little more dimension. A fun image to work with, as usual. Can't wait to see what we get next week!

Think Pink.

The challenge this week at "do you stack up?", is Think Pink. Well, I did a lot of thinking & this is what I came up with. :) This digi & sentiment is called "More Than Chocolate", from "Crafting with Deedee's Digis". I colored the image with SU! markers, then colored & cut out another heart for the Bonbon & adhered it with a pop-up dot. I added some glitter, a button, a bow & a few pink diamonds. I just love the pink & brown together. Sentiment: I love you more than chocolate...In case you're wondering, that's an awful lot

Are they Yours?

Since I am done making the cards for all the men in my life :) I started making some for my 4 sisters. I tried to make it as elegant as I could. Think it's funnier that way. Vintage Valentine

Here is a easy card to make. I printed off a picture from Free Vintage Clip Art & Cards. (There is a link button on my sidebar.) I Mounted it on a piece of SU! "Springtime Vintage" paper, added a brad, ribbon & 4 half pearls. Now, all I need is a Valentine to send it to! :)

Valentine

The challenge at Crafting With Deedee's Digis is to make a card using pink & red. I used their current freebie to make a valentine. This card opens in the middle. I colored the hearts with my SU! markers & then cut both hearts out. I printed out the digi again & cut & colored the little heart shaped button, that is on the left heart & popped it up with a dimensional. (That is what helps hold the card closed.) Other things I used, was scallop edge punch, 2-3/8" scallop circle punch, 1/16" punch, a silver heart brad & sentiment from SU!'s "Holiday Best". Fun challenge... It was really hard not use other colors, along with the pink & red.

This is Molly. Isn't she cute? She is one of the latest @ Baby Bud Designs. The challenge is to make a card for a friend using one of their digi's.
I have spent a good share of my day scooping snow. Winter finally arrived...

I used my SU! markers; Cherry Cobbler, Close to Cocoa & Creamy Caramel, Scallop Edge & Word Window punches & a Chocolate brad.
I love checks & plaids. Must be from all those years in Catholic School. :)
