Magic Reindeer Food

Magic Reindeer Food has been around for several years. For some reason I was never interested in making any until I saw this post @ Make it From Scratch. Read the Warning at the end of her blog post HERE. How cute!
I printed off labels from razzel dazzle recipes HERE but you can find lots of different printable labels out there if you Search : Magic Reindeer Food labels on the Internet.
I used SU! paper bags, but you can use clear Baggies, lunch sacks or...I even have seen where people have used those large "test tubes" that you can get at most Craft Stores.
I added some twine ( that my sister had thrown away the other day & I dug out of the trash. :)
And a jingle bell. What a neat idea! I wish I had done this sooner. I think my Grandkids will love it!
Thanks for stopping!

It's a Sale-a-bration!

Sale-a-bration starts today. YaaHoo! This is a yearly Stampin' Up! promotion where, for every $50 you spend, you get to choose a free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog. You can click on the Sale-a-bration catalog button, on my left sidebar & see all the wonderful items to choose from. One of my favorites is the Punch Bunch stamp set. I absolutely love my Owl Punch & now I have a stamp to go with it! There are 5 stamps in this set, that coordinate with some of SU!'s punches. There's the "owl"- that works with the 2-Step Owl Punch, "Happy Birthday"- Scallop Square, "For You"- scallop circle, "Welcome Baby"- Large Tag & "True Friend"- 1' circle. Here's a project I made with this stamp set. I altered a candle that I got at The Dollar Store & made a matching card. Hope my sister-in-law likes it!

Moments...

(edit: Top 3 Winner!)
I wanted to make Valentine cards to send to my parents & In-Laws. Both couples have been married a long time. My In-Laws have been married 65 years & are both dealing with health issues. He is in the hospital right now & she is down the hall in the nursing home. Today, I went to visit them & thought they might like to see each other. I rolled Grandma (as we call her) down to Grandpa's room. It was a very happy & sad moment. They were so happy to see each other. But it was kinda rough to watch. Life is a matter of moments. Life changes, we change physically & mentally... but true love endures.
For my card I used SU!'s Elements of Style for the sentiment & the following punches: 2-1/2" circle, Owl, Scallop Edge, Boho Blossoms (with "Punch Potpourri" stamp set) & Modern Label. For the background I used the Top Note Die & Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
I am entering this card @ Stampin' Celebration- the challenge is pink & brown

SCIC # 35

Here's my project for Stampin' Celebrations challenge for this week. I used my favorite, mini milk carton Die & found a carrier pattern that will hold 2 milk cartons.
Go to Paper Punch Addiction for a tutorial on how to make this cute carrier. I used the Birthday Bakery stamp set, my SU! markers, Pretty In Pink & Not Quite Navy cardstock, along with some Greenhouse Gala DSP. Punches: 1" circle, scallop edge & scallop circle. I added a couple of 1/2" library clips on top & a Pretty In Pink brad & bow. Inside are chocolate-cherry M&M's. Ever had them? Yum!

Thank You Card

It's a Sketch Challenge over at The Pixie Cottage.
I used SU!'s "Because I Care" stamp set. I stamped the flower with Cherry Cobbler & then colored in with a pink pencil. Before stamping, I wiped off the red ink on the stem & leaf part, & used a Old Olive marker to color that part of the rubber stamp. This is an easy technique, when you're in a hurry to make a card.

Celebrating Winter with Stampin' Celebration!

Over at Stampin' Celebration they are celebrating winter with lots of blues, whites & snowflakes.
For my card I used "Holiday Lineup" & "Occasional Quotes" stamps, both from SU! I stamped both in Not Quite Navy. I used Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy & Marina Mist SU! markers to color the snowmen hats & scarfs. I used the Round Tab & Designer Label punches for the sentiment. I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to the pom-poms on the snowmen hats.

snowman bag

(Top 3 Winner!)
The challenge @ Stampin' Celebration this week, is to use red, brown & white to make your project. I LOVE those colors. I took a SU! scalloped paper bag, ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock through my Big Shot with the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder & tied a piece of Dark Brown & white ribbon around it. I used the "More The Merrier" stamp set on white cardstock & mounted it on a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter & used my SU! markers. Inside the bag is a couple of chocolate mint candy canes & some Chex Cereal Mix that I made.
8 cups Chex cereal
1 cup cashews
1 bag Holiday M&M's
1 pkg vanilla almond bark melted
Mix well to coat. Spread out on waxed paper to cool. Break into bite size chunks. Store in air-tight container.

Christmas Tea Bag "Matchbook" Holder

I went on Designed2Delights Blog Hop yesterday. Soo many great little gift ideas! I made these tea holders today, for my Mom to give to her friends at Bridge. They are super fast & easy to make. I got the idea from Katie at "Both Sides Of The Paper".

Cut a piece of cardstock @ 6-3/4" x 2-3/4"
Score it @ 2-3/4" & 6", fold
Cut a piece of designer paper @ 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Now, go to CARDZ TV & watch how to put it all together.
Mary makes a larger holder to hold a Hot Chocolate Mix pack.
My dimensions will make a smaller one, to fit a bag of tea.
So that the bag can be easily removed without taking things apart,
I simply attached the tea bag with a small glue dot on the back of the package.
Thanks for stopping! Hope you had a relaxing Thanksgiving.

Finally feeling like November?

It's starting to feel a little wintry outside!
Here's the card I made for the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #29. Click HERE
The colors that we were to use, were tans, whites, browns...
I used "Lovely As A Tree" SU! stamp set & "Watercolor Trio" sentiment on Crumb Cake cardstock. Designer Label punch, Soft Suede cardstock, Elegant Soiree Designer Paper & then tied some SU! Rope Twine around the top of the card. I double stamped the trees. First in soft suede, then again in Whisper White, to give it that "frosty morning" look.

Oct 12 Workshop

Here are a few things that we will be making at the Workshop @ ScrapHappens!
