Love this

I think I need a new camera. My pictures don't look as good as my layout's do IRL. lol  Anyway, I am still doing scrapbooks for my grandkids, using old family pictures. This is one of me and my late husband, Steve.
I started out with 12x12 cardstock- Bermuda Bay by SU! and sponged some brown and white ink on the cardstock. On the right of the picture, I used a stencil by TCW and some white Molding Paste. Then, I used a white gel pen and added dots all over and a border. On the left side, I punched 6- 1" holes and weaved some Bermuda Bay ribbon through the holes. I then tied 4 bows on the weaved ribbon and glued 2 strips of DP ("season of color" by Webster's pages), along side of the ribbon.
I like the look of corrugated cardboard, but for the life of me, I couldn't find any in the stash! So, I used a piece of DP that looks like wood and my "crimper". I also made the arrows with that paper and a square punch.  Under that, I added some more pieces of DP by Webster Pages behind my picture.
I punched the flowers (used the crimper on them), leaves, a tag and then added some cardboard cut outs and a brad that I had.
I would like to enter my layout @:
My Craft Spot- Pinterest Inspired- (I liked the colors in the picture)

Frosted Designs- add texture (stencil and molding paste and crimped paper)

Tulips!

There's an Easter Blog Hop going on over @ Do You Stack Up? Lots of great prizes. You don't want to miss it! Also, the theme @ C.R.A.F.T. Challenge is flowers. Here's my card for both challenges. I decided to dig out my punches & make some tulips, to go with the tulips in the digi stamp. I used the wing from SU!'s 2-Step Bird punch to make them. I punched three wings for each flower, 1 for each leaf  & a branch from this punch makes the flower stem! The grass at the bottom was just cut with scissors. The top border is SU!'s Eyelet Border punch. Basic Grey paper & colored with Copics. This sweet digi was a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps
Thanks for stopping! Have a Blessed Easter Weekend!     b.

With all my Heart

The challenge @ Peachy Keen Stamps is to alter something to use for card storage. I had this paint can that I have been saving for something special. I decided to spiff-it-up a little, & maybe my grandson could use it to store his Valentines in. I covered the can with paper that looks like jean material & some other paper that didn't look too girly. I added a little ribbon around the edges & tied a bunch of ribbon on the handle. I punched some hearts for the lid & stamped his name on them. The little boys are made from the following punches: head-ornament, shirt & shorts-large heart, legs, arms & neck-word window, hands-small heart from Heart to Heart punch, ears-1/2" circle, shoes-wide heart from Heart to Heart punch, hair-ornament trimmed & finally the faces were stamped with Peachy Keen's Everyday Character Face Parts.

On a personal note: All my free time is being spent at the Hospital & Nursing Home. My In-Laws have been very ill. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you don't hear from me much. Thanks

a little birdie told me...

This is the newest freebie @ Designed2Delight, "For The Birds Snowman". I may have gotten a little carried away, making this card. I think it was the marker fumes :-} Before I knew it, I was cutting tiny circles from my background paper & gluing them on Mr. Snowman's coat. It took me like, forever! That's what I like about paper crafting, for me anyway... I get totally involved in what I'm doing & all my problems disappear for a while. I even went to the kitchen & found some celery seed to glue in Frosty's hand. What fun!

Precious

"do you stack up?" Challenge- patterned papers--
This adorable little girl image, is one that I got @Free Digital Stamps, I think... This was before I started trying to keep track of who I get freebies from. I colored & cut out an extra set of her bunny slippers & adhered them with pop-up dots. The flowers are paper punched with SU!'s Boho Blossoms punch & 2-Step Bird punch for the leaves. My background paper is baby blue chenille, peach with baby blue dots & then, Wisteria from Basicgrey. She is precious, don't you think?

PC Challenge #54

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #54 Sketch &/or flowers

Whew! That was tough... Don't know why, but I had a hard time with this one. Don't you just love it when it's hard? Makes the 'ole brain work overtime. I was stumped, when it came to the upper part of the sketch, the X. I decided, that a well placed bow might work. I know...I know...I amaze myself too, sometimes. i-) Anyway, I got this digi stamp @ Free Digital Stamps. I am not sure who the artist is. I have since, started trying to keep track. We'll see how it goes... I used my SU! markers & Cottage Wall Designer Paper. There are 3 of the flowers, that are paper punched with the 5 Petal punch & Boho Blossoms punch. The sentiment, Love you much, is SU!'s Well Scripted stamp set. I added a few little diamonds & some buttons to finish it off. Hope you like it. I think I do. :)

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #44

Peachy Keen's Sketch Challenge with a Twist:
I followed the SKETCH but not sure about the TWIST! Most of the color is "Monochromatic!" :)
I enjoyed doing the "melted snowman" in another challenge so, I did it here again with a Peachy Keen stamp, that I received free with an order.
SU! markers, My Mind's Eye paper, & the following punches: 2-1/2" circle, Heart, scallop oval, large oval, word window, & Top Note Die.

It's a Sale-a-bration!

Sale-a-bration starts today. YaaHoo! This is a yearly Stampin' Up! promotion where, for every $50 you spend, you get to choose a free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog. You can click on the Sale-a-bration catalog button, on my left sidebar & see all the wonderful items to choose from. One of my favorites is the Punch Bunch stamp set. I absolutely love my Owl Punch & now I have a stamp to go with it! There are 5 stamps in this set, that coordinate with some of SU!'s punches. There's the "owl"- that works with the 2-Step Owl Punch, "Happy Birthday"- Scallop Square, "For You"- scallop circle, "Welcome Baby"- Large Tag & "True Friend"- 1' circle. Here's a project I made with this stamp set. I altered a candle that I got at The Dollar Store & made a matching card. Hope my sister-in-law likes it!

more than chocolate

It's a sketch challenge @ Crafting With Deedee's Digis. Since I played along last week, I received this new digi from them, in my email. Su...weet! This is the 3rd card that I've made with this image & sentiment. I love the sketch. Takes all the frustration out of it. I used my SU! markers, ribbon, some glitter (on the candy), pink diamonds, & the following punches; scallop border, Heart to Heart, 2-Step Bird (leaves), Boho Blossoms, scallop oval & wide oval. The brown background paper, I ran through a Crimper, to give it the same texture as the candy cups...or what ever you call 'em. :) I also, cut & colored an extra set of the hearts (that are in the middle of the bonbons) then used pop-up dots to give them a little more dimension. A fun image to work with, as usual. Can't wait to see what we get next week!

Moments...

(edit: Top 3 Winner!)
I wanted to make Valentine cards to send to my parents & In-Laws. Both couples have been married a long time. My In-Laws have been married 65 years & are both dealing with health issues. He is in the hospital right now & she is down the hall in the nursing home. Today, I went to visit them & thought they might like to see each other. I rolled Grandma (as we call her) down to Grandpa's room. It was a very happy & sad moment. They were so happy to see each other. But it was kinda rough to watch. Life is a matter of moments. Life changes, we change physically & mentally... but true love endures.
For my card I used SU!'s Elements of Style for the sentiment & the following punches: 2-1/2" circle, Owl, Scallop Edge, Boho Blossoms (with "Punch Potpourri" stamp set) & Modern Label. For the background I used the Top Note Die & Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
I am entering this card @ Stampin' Celebration- the challenge is pink & brown

For the owl, I used SU!'s owl punch, Scallop Circle punch-wings, & Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face Parts. For directions, to make this mini milk carton carrier go to: Paper Punch Addiction.

Are they Yours?

Since I am done making the cards for all the men in my life :) I started making some for my 4 sisters. I tried to make it as elegant as I could. Think it's funnier that way. I read this sentiment somewhere, wish I could remember where, so I can give them credit. If you would like to make this Heart, go HERE. If you need any punches, check out my SU! online store. Thanks!

Friends

Molly @ Baby Bud Designs
Molly is back! Have you ever started working on one card & ended up with something totally different? This was going to be a card for the new freebie @ Designed2Delight. (By the way, they are having a Blog Hop today.) When I got the card laid out, I decided Molly had to be on it. I used pencils & markers, Top Note Die, Heart to Heart punch, a half pearl, ribbon, old jewelry & Watercolor Trio for the sentiment. For the flower, I used SU!'s 5-Petal Flower punch. To get the petals to curl, I just scraped my thumb nail down each petal several times (starting in the middle), until it curled. I think they have a tool for that but I don't have it. I also distressed the edge of the top Note with my scissors. Hope you like it!

Oh No!

Don't you hate it when you forget someones birthday? I know I really appreciate it when I get a card in the mail. (Ecards don't really count.) And if it's homemade...nothin' better!
Check out the sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen stamps.
I used the SU! Ornament punch to make the peaches. I stamped the faces on, with the Peachy Keen Pumpkin Faces. (I colored in their tooth with a black marker.) The leaves are the wing from the SU! 2-Step Bird punch & the stem was just hand cut. I also used 2-1/2" circle, 2-3/8" scallop circle & scallop border punches. I think it turned out cute. I love their little freckles, they're "peachy keen"!

Thank you for your kindness

It's "Let's Face It Friday" @ Peachy Keen Stamps! I have a terrible time drawing faces so, these face stamps from Peachy Keen have been a life-saver for me. To make the penguin I used a bunch of my SU! punches: body-wide oval & large oval, Wings- small oval, Head- 1-3/8" & 1" circles, Feet- Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Hat-1-3/8" circle, Scarf- 2- word windows, snowflake punch, Sentiment- Designer Label & Round Tab with Occasional Quotes sentiment all from SU!

Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! I thought that was the perfect sentiment, since it appears that Santa is headed to bed after a long night of flying around the world delivering presents. Thanks Anni. Now I am all caught up with my scrapbooking. Whew!
For instructions on how to punch this Santa, go to THIS post. Have a great day!
