Think tropical!

I got all the snow scooped off my sidewalks & driveway yesterday. Today we are getting freezing rain. I am so ready for some warm weather. My card makes me think "tropical." You know, where it's sunny & warm? :} I used the new freebie from Baby Bud Designs, "Baby Belle". What a little cutie! For some reason, in this picture, the Baby Bud flower looks orange. It is actually pink. For the flower towards the bottom of my card, I added a couple small pieces of brown pipe-cleaner to the flower center. I used the sketch from Peachy Keen Stamps.
paper- Curio Paper Pad
border- SU! Scallop Edge punch
sentiment- Occasional Quotes- SU!

Baby Bud Challenge- Ribbons & Bows

The challenge @ Baby Bud Designs is Ribbons & Bows! Since the flue visited my house the other day (too much information??) & with St. Patrick's Day around the corner, I have been doing my cards in green. So, here's Baby Bud's "Molly" & she's "Feelin' Green! See all her freckles? I made another Scallop Square Card. I got the idea from Angie's blog. Go HERE to see how to make one. I used the Vintage Embossing Folder from SU! on the Scallop Circle. I added a flower made out of ribbon & some green ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
I'm also entering this card @ "Do you stack up?"- just green it! (my 2nd entry)
Happy Friday to you. Have a great weekend.

think spring!

The challenge @ Do You Stack Up?- (patterned papers), is still going on. Check it out. It's lots of fun! For my card, I used one of latest freebies from Baby Bud Designs. Since it is trying to snow here...again :-[ I thought I'd make a card to remind me of warmer days! Don't you love the sunglasses? It's a brad that I found in my stash.

Diamonds, chocolate & Red.

Diamonds, chocolate & the color red... just a few of my favorite things! Baby Bud Designs is sponsoring a challenge @ "Oh Alice!". The challenge is to make your project, using mostly red or mostly white. Using mostly red, I made a Coffee Cup. You can find the instructions on how to make your own mug here. I used one of Baby Bud Designs newest images...Molly...again...I know, I must have a little OCD but I just love using her. I colored her with Riding Hood Red, Blush Blossom & Creamy Caramel SU! markers. I added a little Really Rust, to give her a bit of a red head look. I made a couple of bows for her shoestrings with black floss. The hearts were made with the Heart To Heart punch, embellished with little diamonds. Inside the cello bag is some homemade Hot Chocolate mix & then topped with a little Gosgrain Ribbon & a heart trinket. I think this will be a perfect Valentine's gift for one of my friends. Thanks for stopping! Later!

Friends

Molly @ Baby Bud Designs
Molly is back! Have you ever started working on one card & ended up with something totally different? This was going to be a card for the new freebie @ Designed2Delight. (By the way, they are having a Blog Hop today.) When I got the card laid out, I decided Molly had to be on it. I used pencils & markers, Top Note Die, Heart to Heart punch, a half pearl, ribbon, old jewelry & Watercolor Trio for the sentiment. For the flower, I used SU!'s 5-Petal Flower punch. To get the petals to curl, I just scraped my thumb nail down each petal several times (starting in the middle), until it curled. I think they have a tool for that but I don't have it. I also distressed the edge of the top Note with my scissors. Hope you like it!

Another Molly!

I just couldn't stop at one...she's so cute. At this rate, I may have all my cards made, long before Valentine's Day!

Meet Molly

This is Molly. Isn't she cute? She is one of the latest @ Baby Bud Designs. The challenge is to make a card for a friend using one of their digi's.
I have spent a good share of my day scooping snow. Winter finally arrived...

Baby Bud- Kai

This image is a freebie I got over at Baby Bud Designs. It will be there until 1-10. I guess it is a HE, but it's a she on my card. I used some of my new Stampin' Up! paper I just got. It's called Springtime Vintage. There are embellishments & even fabric that matches! I sure wish I sewed.
For the sentiment, I punched out 2 Modern Labels, one in tan & one in pink. I cut the tan one in 1/2 & then glued it to the back of the pink one. I just love this image. It is sooo cute!
