Hello Friend

"Hedgie Duo" (and "hello friend" sentiment)...that's the name of the latest free digi @ Imagine That! digi's by Kris. I just bought some new SU! paper that I couldn't wait to use! I followed a sketch over @ i {heart} sketches. You will always find a great sketch there!

I even finished the inside of my card! I don't always do that  :(

I colored 2 sets of the Hedgehogs. I cut one out & popped it up with some dimensionals.
I hate to admit it but I had to Google "hedgehog" so that I could color this image. I guess I have never seen one before. Not sure if we have them around here???  We have Possum & Porcupines. To me, the Hedgehog looks kinda like a mix of the two :)
Paper: Everyday Enchantment by SU!
Coloring- Copics
Image & sentiment- Imagine That!
Flowers- SU! then colored with Copics
Leaves- SU! Bird Punch
Mini Clip, Brads & Twine- SU!
Scallop Border Punch- SU!
Cardstock & Ink- Soft Suede by SU!
Lord! This looks like an advertisement for SU! It's really not. I guess I just like their stuff.
I had fun making this card. Thank you Kris! @ Imagine That!

My MIL & Lily's Flowers

Here's a card I made with the latest freebie from Imagine That! Progressive Challenge. If you would like to play along you can purchase this Digi, Lily's Flowers for $1 and then your next digi is free.
I didn't spend as much time on my card as I would have liked. My Mother-in-law passed away. I am so glad that I was able to be there to say good bye. She had been sick for quite a few years. I am sad to see her go. She was my other Mother. I didn't know anything about housekeeping, cooking, canning or living the country life, when I came to Nebraska after Steve and I were married. (I was born and raised in Denver.) She taught me just about everything I know. The funeral was very nice. A family friend/relative sang & played his guitar. My MIL loved the old Hymn's like The Old rugged Cross. Then a story was read that my Sis-in-law had found in a file. My MIL had written it back in the 50's, after she had been married for about 10 years. It was about how she struggled making pies & jelly. She had a wonderful sense of humor! Everyone was laughing! She would have loved that :)
I will try to post that story soon, so that you can enjoy it too.

Imagine That #6

This is the Free image I received the other day from Imagine That! Progressive Challenge Blog.
When I first saw this Rose, I thought of some SU! paper that I had. I tried to match the color but didn't have the right markers. So, I had to color my Rose a little darker than I would like. But I think it looks pretty good anyway. If you play along, you would have received the Rose & 4 with different sentiments.

Bella & Skipper

Please scroll down for my Guest Designer Post, "Skipper's Pad"

This is the latest freebie from Imagine That!, called "Bella & Skipper". Aren't they adorable?
For my card I used a sketch @ Catch The Bug Challenge Blog. The papers I used are SU!, "Beyond The Garden".
This was fun to color so I made another one...

I hand stitched around this one & added some rick-rack. I colored with Copics & made a flower using a scalloped punch. I also used my scalloped punch to make the clouds in the background. The sentiment I printed on my computer says, "You are beautiful". The papers are from the same pack, "Beyond The Garden".
Thanks for stopping!

Skipper's Pad & matching paper

I am so excited! I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Imagine That! Challenge Blog I got to use "Skipper's Pad" (colored) & Frog in My Pocket, matching digi Paper! Using a colored digi was wonderful! It sure made this project come together fast!
I had never used digi paper packs & now I am hooked! I printed out a smaller version of "Skipper's Pad" & cut out the little frog & made a little charm for my gift bag.
I used 4 different papers from the digi pack. (I sometimes have a heck of a time finding papers in my stash that go together.)
Here's the inside of my card.

Speeding by

This is the latest FREE image from Imagine That! Progressive Challenge. It's fun to color & perfect for a boy's birthday, which is sometimes hard to do. If you are like me, most of my stamps are girly. If you started from the beginning, this digi stamp set was emailed to you for free. But...the Challenge owner has changed the rules this month & anyone can jump in for free!
Also...I changed my Blog background yesterday & I can't figure out how to get my blog title "feeling_scrappy" to show up in the "header" box at the top of my blog page. Got any suggestions?

Easter Frame

When I got home from work this morning, I checked my email & found my new freebie from Imagine That! Progressive Challenge! Isn't it lovely?
I know...the colors I used on my card aren't your usual Easter colors but sometimes you just gotta be different, right? I think I kinda like it  :)
First off, I distressed the edges of the 2 squares & then popped the Easter digi image ( that I fussy-cut) with dimensionals, although you really can't tell by looking at the picture. I printed an extra image off, colored & cut out the lilies, added some glitter, then popped them up with dimensionals. Lastly, I added some purple string yarn & there you go...

Thanks for stoppin'  :)

Irish Dancer

This is the new freebie @ Imagine That!
If you are have been playing along, you received 3 digi's this time!
Two dancing girls & a circle sentiment.
I made this card to send to my big sister. Six years ago, she took me with her to Ireland. It was a dream come true!
When we were in Dublin, she surprised me with tickets to see "Riverdance." It was awesome...no, it was WAY better than that! The show was in an beautiful old Opera House. No camera's allowed...darn. But I will remember it as long as I live :)
