I dug out some old SU! paper & Die's and made this Gift Card Holder.

Hello Friend

"Hedgie Duo" (and "hello friend" sentiment)...that's the name of the latest free digi @ Imagine That! digi's by Kris. I just bought some new SU! paper that I couldn't wait to use! I followed a sketch over @ i {heart} sketches. You will always find a great sketch there!

 

I even finished the inside of my card! I don't always do that  :(

 

I colored 2 sets of the Hedgehogs. I cut one out & popped it up with some dimensionals.

 I hate to admit it but I had to Google "hedgehog" so that I could color this image. I guess I have never seen one before. Not sure if we have them around here???  We have Possum & Porcupines. To me, the Hedgehog looks kinda like a mix of the two :)

A friend of mine from work, is having a birthday soon. She LOVES cats. I am not a cat lover, so I didn't have any digi's that included a cat. I have been participating in the Sketch Challenges at i {heart} sketches & each time you enter your card in their Challenge, you receive a $1 voucher to use at the Store. I purchased this digi Kitten Flower Pot this morning from the Store using a few vouchers I had saved. I think it is a perfect image for her card and I think she will love it!

Here is the new Sketch @ i {heart} sketches.

When I first looked at it I thought, "Oh! Simple!" But after I looked at it closely, I saw how everything kind-of weeved in & out of each other. For instance, the top (horizontal) piece is under the circle on the left side, then crosses over the vertical piece & then over the circle. (Well, that's my take on it anyway)  How fun is that?!

I am not sure that I did it perfectly but I gotta say it was a challenge! I am starting to get stocked up again on cards. I like to have some on hand & my mother loves to send them to her friends.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. There is a new Sketch over at Delightful Inspiration/ i {heart} sketches. Working off of sketches is always a challenge for me but this one was Delightful! I love all the different layers.

I had the day off today. It was cold & icy...a perfect day to stay inside and play with my paper. :)
This is Sketch #3 from "i {heart} sketches.

For my card I used my one & only Magnolia rubber stamp. I colored her with Copics, added some pearls and a flower. I had planned on getting out my sewing machine to do some stitching on my card but I decided to just do some paper-piercing... my sewing isn't the greatest. I really hate that, because I think stitching is the perfect touch on a homemade card!
