grandkids & coloring

My Grand children spent a good part of the day with me in my craft room. They love to come & play with Grandma. I think they find it amusing that I love to color! Our local grocery store is having a coloring contest. I encouraged them to enter & told them they could even use my beloved pencils & markers.
For Ryan's picture, I printed the digi "Painting Eggs" by Designed2Delight. I showed Ryan how to use colored pencils & Gamsol. He was amazed & so pleased with his work!
Katie loves markers! I printed a 8 x 10 of the "Spring Greetings" digi by Designed2Delight. She colored it, sponged the edges & added some Puff Paint to the little chick.
I enjoy having my grand kids over, even though they tend to wear me out.  We had a great time!

  1. Laughing cause my Lily wears me out too, but it is so worth it isn't it. I love to color too... The kids did a great job.
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. LOVE it!!! I have never tried to print so large, but I do have the resolution really high so that it's possible to do something like this. So cool! Their coloring is awesome!

  3. Really cute, bet they had a fun day with grandma! His coloring is awesome with those pencils. And I love her sun and puffy paint. Very creative kids!

  4. That is so cute!!! My oldest granddaughter ALWAYS has to play on my Cricut and use my punches when she is here. I may have to try something like that the next time they stop by : )

  5. Omgosh Bridget! They are adorable and both made wonderful master pieces!!

  6. Look like you have a couple budding artists in your family! Great job to both of them. I will have to look for them in the store.

  7. I have really loved visiting your blog tonight and catching up with your warm family tales and pictures. :)

I bet your Grandkids love colouring in with you, and its nice to know there are some things you never grow out of! ;) lol.

Both pics are bright and cheery and so Im sure will do really well in the competition.
